Strange Flying Object Baffles in Boliva

Star-gazing is a truly special and unique pastime. It allows us to reach out on a larger scale and explore our place in a vast and mysterious cosmos. I can Imagine that our next submission had just that in mind. Little could they predict that their peaceful night would turn into an encounter with the truly inexplicable.

In 2005 Reddit user CouchPotatter was playing with a friend when they saw a prime opportunity to enjoy one of their favorite hobbies.

“I love stargazing since my dad introduced me to it. Anyways one day, me and a friend of mine were hanging out on the roof of a building were my house was located, it was around 5pm (usually sun goes down around 6pm) so you could start seeing the penumbra creeping through the sky. Usually at that moment you can start seeing the first stars in the sky (usually the brightest ones first). As we are playing I tell my friend that would be a good idea to stop and lay down on the roof tiles and stargaze for the night”

With the activity agreed upon, the two youths relaxed upon the roof and set their eyes skyward. Enthralled in childhood banter, the night had already well taken hold, when something caught CouchPotatter‘s eye.

“I noticed something in the night sky in the direction of a group of stars (which at the moment I do not remember their name.), this “something” was a tiny flickering light in between all the stars in the sky, I told my friend to look up to it and immediately we both noticed that it was not a star but something ‘inside’ our sky.“

The two bewildered children watched, as the point of light descended in the direction of their small town. Within a few minutes the object was inside the range of the cities flickering lights “It was completely black, bean-shaped and HUGE!” the witness said. Now, frozen in fear, the children were staring into a strange object possibly not of this earth.

“We got really scared, totally paralyzed as it looked like a giant black hole was covering a huge portion of the sky. As I catch myself, completely awestruck, I start noticing certain features on this giant object above us. The edges of it looks as if it was reflecting light. Kind of like a metal ball would reflect and distort light that is reflecting from its surface, but in this case, the object itself looked like a suspended ball of liquid in the air. I could see some orange lights from the light-posts on the street being reflected on it. We also noticed that it was completely silent. We looked at it as is moved above us, passing us and eventually getting lost past the horizon tree line.“

Understandably the children ran to their respective homes for comfort after the event. A strange tale to be sure, however it doesn’t end there. A few days later
CouchPotatter would feel an unnatural beckoning. “A couple days later, I wake up randomly at 3AM in the morning, no reason whatsoever. I feel the urge to grab my binoculars (which I used to stargaze) and opened my bedroom window.”

The witness first scanned the night-sky with his naked eyes, searching for anything odd, when they felt a chill run down their spine “I saw the same flickering lights in the horizon with the same weird repetitive moves, I grabbed my binoculars and looked at it and there it is… all the way at the end of the horizon flying incredibly slow!“

As panic took hold of the witness, they quickly bounded in the direction of their parents room. “I freaked out and ran to my parents room to let them know that the ‘thing’ I saw before was in the sky again. My parents didn’t believe me and (as it was 3am in the morning) I got yelled at to go back to bed. I’ve been a believer of E.Ts visiting our planet since then.”

An amazing story. What could this strange craft have been? Pehaps some form of giant sky amoeba? A blimp that got away from its mooring? Visitors from another world? Bolivia is certainly no stranger to the UFO phenomenon. Personally, I believe the witness encountered a TRUE Unidentified Flying Object. Now, whether they are visitors from another planet, or another dimension, is up for debate.
